What do you blog about during quarantine? I woke up at 10, took a half hour shower, and made some chicken soup (the store was out of bat, they were also out of toilet paper).
It’s crazy to think this whole thing started just because someone decided to get adventurous and order the soup of the day. On the upside, it looks like this pandemic is starting let up a little, or at least the curve is starting to flatten and people are taking this seriously. Honestly, I thought this was the end for humans, but I can’t complain. What species can say they were number one for as long as humans? I mean we had a good run. Personally, I thought we peaked as a species with the invention of Flex Tape. We were on borrowed time ever since.
It’s times like these I start to realize there are a lot more extroverts in the world then I thought. I consider myself an introverted extrovert. A social contradiction. I’m introverted when relaxed, but can turn on the extrovert for short bursts. Lately, social distancing has worked in my favor. However, I’m starting to realize this might not be as great as I once thought. It has gotten to the point where I’ve been able to develop what I call "weaponized social distancing."
For example, I’ll walk my dog around the neighborhood. Every once and a while, depending on what time, I’ll come across another person on the same side of the sidewalk walking in my direction. This is a problem. One of us has to switch sides of the street to maintain proper social distancing. We keep inching closer and closer to each other as the length between houses shortens. For all I know the fate of all mankind could ride on this moment. This game of chicken keeps going as the distance goes from five houses to three. Eventually, I grow impatient, and in a final attempt to gain suburban dominance I cough in my sleeve. It works, as the pedestrian crosses the street. The sidewalk is mine and all is good in the world of Gabe.

Thank you to all three of you who viewed my blog this week. I’m thinking of doing more posts in the future with the goal of at least one post a week. I might even include a video of the week to accompany the blog. This could be anything I find online that I thought was interesting or funny. We’ll see. Also, I’m having trouble trying to come up with stuff to write about so I was thinking of asking people who visit my site to give me suggestions on what I should write about. It can be about anything. What’s in the news, opinions, or advice on life (you don’t want my advice, in fact I would advise against taking my advice). If any of you five people* who read this have any suggestions let me know.
* I like to round up or as they say in the business world “cook the books.”
